May 28Finishing up - Collecting the art work , filling out the forms, title on cards, Art is hung June 2nd in the library. These will be the collages from Smitty's and the self portrait projects. We will hang all our fall and all year's art at the library. We need 45 pictures
All Western Art will be going up at Smitty's - YaHoo! We need 15 pictures
Let's Paint For April 23rd bring something exciting to paint. I have a watercolour video too. IT is primarily of buildings and very free style.
April 9th - We will continue to work on our own projects to hang at the library for the summer. Or for the Smitty's work on the Western pictures for the June/July/August series. Bring your photographs and your supplies.
March 26th - I will be away, I hope you all have a good time painting together. Please commit to volunteering in the library painting animals on Saturday as I will still be away. Thanks Veronica for already taking charge of this.
March 12th
Let's get some art ready for Smitty's, Bring something you would like to work on. I can bring some photos. We will be showcasing art for 2 months (May/June) of everything you have worked on Then July/August is the western art. Don't forget to have everything ready for the library display over the summer too. This is all art for the year including the projects, self portraits and appliques.

My camera only reads POWER OFF, I plugged the camera into the new computer and now I cannot read them, Anything you would like posted to your page please bring it on Wednesday, sorry, I had good stuff in there.
Feb 27th Please bring your applique projects they are going to be hung at Smitty's tomorrow - Any other work we have done since Jan. will be hung in May Sorry to those who brought all their artwork.
We will try that video again, I decide to keep it for another month rather than return it to the FCA since the lady was not in attendance.
I will bring a tv too! So bring your pastels and conte and charcoal, its a rather good video, there are three works of art to complete.
Art Change - Smitty's - Feb 27 2pm
Feb. 13 I will bring a video courtesy of the FCA for those who would like to work on new art for the Spring. It is in chalk pastel so bring your pastels and charcoal. These pictures are very do able!! You can hang at Smitty's or in the library .
Anything of Airdrie; Can be landscape (preferrably) but animals, children, even abstract accepted. Please have reason for its roots in Airdrie. due dec 15th

December 12th We will work on the applique pictures Great Start to the project on Nov 28th!
November 14th we will have a demo night, but you can paint along. I have a great video we can paint along - it is of a stream. It's water colour but you can paint in what ever medium you are familiar with.
November 28th is when we will begin our material projects, please have decided on your composition. If you are doing more than one bring all, if you do not plan on making one please bring a picture you are working on; your portrait or continue with your stream.
I would like to have a few little Christmas sort of pictures for Smitty's if your are interested in doing one in your free time, or bring to the guild. We should change the Smitty's pictures last week in November so please pictures for displaying at the 2nd meeting.

October 24th Rolling right along!!
We will have a free drawing experience, drawing each others poses. Then drawing up our photographs in pencil/charcoal/conte. If you haven't had your photo taken, & there are a few of you, please see Tami,

October 20th - A new program to introduce art technique to children 8-12 yrs will be held in the library once monthly. The program begins OCT.20th at 10:30 am. The September 22nd date is not available. In October we will be painting masks.
IN JANUARY Artists will be teaching techniques in watercolour and the supplies are provided by the library. The theme will be skies... All art guild members are welcome to help by teaching their art idea. Hope its fun for everyone.

We will add requests to the program - teaching requests(painting dates, workshops, instructional films) and fill out the dates for the projects:
1. applique and 2. self portrait.
Please think about what picture you would like to create for the applique, I will bring some samples and we can draw a plan for the project.
I will be taking pictures for the self portrait so comb your hair and be beautiful, if thats how you want to paint yourself, we can draw goofy too, bring a kerchief/scarf/glasses if you like!
